Welcome to the North Sacramento Free Tool Library

Introducing Sierra Service Project's newest program...the North Sacramento Free Tool Library! Over the past year, we've found that SSP has many tools lying dormant and we'd like to make them available to our community. Located at our office in North Sacramento, the Tool Library opened in early 2022. If you’re local to Sacramento, you can reserve a tool online and schedule a time to pick it up within our open hours:

  • Tuesdays 4-6 pm (open hours for drop in & online reservations)
  • Saturdays 10 am-noon (open by reservation only)
  • 1516 Del Paso Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95815

Over the years we’ve lent tools on a one-off basis. We’re excited to share our resources more widely with our local community! While some folks don’t have the ability or resources to repair their homes and benefit from volunteer powered home repairs, others have the technical skills but lack access to tools, ability to store them, or the financial means to purchase them. The free Tool Library is designed to meet this need.

We hope to get tools into the hands of our neighbors, helping residents meet their home repair and creative project needs by borrowing tools. With our new free Tool Library, we see opportunities to strengthen community pride, create safe homes, and build meaningful connections. Thank you for building with SSP!
